Biometrics are valid for all Schengen countries for five years.

  12. Confirmed hotel/hostel/Airbnb booking

    If you’re staying in private accommodation you have to provide an invitation letter (template available on request) and a copy of passport/ID from the host in Germany.
    OR a formal obligation letter (“Verpflichtungserklärung”) obtained from the local immigration office in Germany (“Ausländerbehörde”)

  14. Detailed day-to-day itinerary for the entire stay (to explain the whole trip, with destinations and dates)

  15. If the applicant is travelling with a spouse and/or child
    • Original marriage contract if travelling with a spouse
    • Original birth certificate if travelling with a child
  16. Travel insurance
  17. Travel insurance that covers all Schengen countries and medical expenses, repatriation for at least 30000 euros.

  18. Proof of sufficient financial means
  19. Applicant’s original personal bank certificate with personal bank statements covering at least 6 months, stating
    applicant’s name and surname, showing regular income

    If the applicant is sponsored:

    • Copy of the sponsor’s valid passport
    • Sponsor’s original personal bank certificate with personal bank statements covering at least 6 months, stating
      sponsor’s full name and showing regular income
    • Notarized affidavit of support (original) issued 1 month prior to the date of the application
  20. Proof of ties in the Philippines
    • Proof of social security contributions (if applicable)
    • Proof of property ownership – title-deeds (if applicable)
    • Proof of family ties in the Philippines (e.g., birth or marriage certificates)
  21. Proof of occupation
  22. For employees:

    • Recent certificate of employment (Original) specifying the joining date and position in the company
    • Recent employment letter (Original) with a stamp and signature from the HR department of the
      company or from the employer, addressed to the Embassy, confirming the leave approval and specifying the dates of leave and destination
    • Copy of the most recent individual Income Tax Return (ITR)

    For self-employed/business owners:

    • Copy of the business registration, issued by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) or Securities Exchange Commission (SEC)
    • Copy of the business financial statement, covering at least 6 months
    • Copy of the recent individual Income Tax Return (ITR)

    For students/pupils:

    • Proof of enrolment at the school/college/university
    • Certificate of leave absence if travelling during academic/school year
  23. Children (under 18)
    • Birth certificate (Original and photocopy)
    • Both parents’ passports (Original and photocopy)
    • Notarized letter of parental consent duly signed by both parents

Marriage/Birth certificates should be issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)

All documents must show your name as in your passport

All documents must be in English or German
