You can use it for the following purposes: tourism, business, visiting family/friends, scientific, cultural, social-political, economic, sports events and for the maintaining the respective links and contacts.

How long can I stay in Russia if I hold an e-visa?

The maximum validity of e-visa is 60 days however the maximum stay in the Russian Federation is limited to 16 days only. You will need to apply for a regular visa if you wish to stay longer than 16 days.
