Can I use any entry point to enter Vietnam if I hold an e-visa?

No, you can only enter from the following authorised immigration border gates:

The above list indicates maximum length of stay for ordinary passport holders only. It may differ for Diplomatic and Official passport holders.
If you wish to stay any longer in Vietnam you should apply for the respective e-visa or visa.

Can I apply for an e-visa if I reside in Vietnam?

No, only foreign nationals residing outside of Vietnam can apply for an e-visa.

When is the best time to apply for a Vietnam e-visa?

It is highly advisable to apply for an e-visa not later than 7 business days prior your trip.

How long my passport should be valid for to apply for a Vietnam e-visa?

Your passport should have at least six months validity from the intended entry date in Vietnam.

Can I enter Phu Quoc island without a visa?

In accordance with Decision No 80/2020/QĐ-TTg of the Prime Minister dated May 25, 2020, holders of foreign passports are exempted from visa requirement for entry into, exit from Phu Quoc island, with duration of stay no longer than 30 days. In case if holders of foreign passports,before entering Phu Quoc, had transit through other international border gate of Viet Nam, he/she also enjoy such exemption.
