All visa applicants aged from 12-70 are required to submit their fingerprints and a photo. Biometrics are valid for all Schengen countries for five years.

Recent 35mmx45mm passport photos against a plain white background
UK residence permit/visa/ILR/BRP valid for at least 1 month after your trip
Photocopies of previous Schengen visas from the last 3 years
Fully paid round trip travel tickets with a receipt
Confirmed hotel/hostel/Airbnb booking
If you’re staying in private accommodation you have to provide an invitation letter and a copy of passport from the host (Template)
Travel insurance with a letter from the insurance company confirming that it covers all countries in Schengen area, medical expenses & repatriation for at least 30000 euros
Certified last 3 months bank statements showing all transactions and income (salary/pension/benefits).
Alternatively a bank guarantee (fidejussione bancaria or polizza assicurativa) from Italy can be provided.
If you’re employed you have to provide your last 3 months payslips (originals and photocopies) and a letter from your employer confirming company’s registration number, your employment start date, job tittle, annual salary and granted holiday period.
If you’re a student you have to provide a letter from your school/university confirming your student status
If you’re self-employed you have to provide last 3 months business bank statements, latest tax return, company registration certificate and accountant letter
If you’re sole trader you have to provide your latest tax return and a letter from HMRC that shows UTR number
If you’re unemployed and receiving benefits you have to provide a letter from the Jobcentre
If you’re retired you have to provide your pension statements
A letter that is written by the visa applicant confirming the travel plan and purpose of the trip
Birth certificate (Original and photocopy)
Both parents’ passports (Original and photocopy)
All documents must show your name as in your passport
All documents must be in English or Italian
